Exotic Pet Amnesty Day

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Hosted by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens

Have an exotic pet that you can no longer care for? Don't let it loose! You can surrender any exotic animal, free of charge, at this event. There are no penalties or questions asked about surrendered animals, even if you do not have a license to own the animal. These pets will be adopted by registered, experienced exotic pet adopters to ensure that every animal goes to a good home.

Even if you do not have an exotic pet to surrender, this event is still free and open to the public! There will informative and educational displays to help everyone learn about exotic pets and nonnative species. Zoo admission is separate and not required to attend.

NOTE: Adopters must be pre-registered and approved by FWC. If you are interested in becoming an adopter or have any questions about the program please contact the Exotic Species Hotline, 1-888-IVEGOT1 (483-4681); PetAmnesty@myfwc.com, or visit their website here
