Florida Black Bear Exhibit Opens August 1, 2017

Florida Black Bear Habitat Closed Due to Hurricane Irma Flooding

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens was bear-y excited to open of our Florida black bear exhibit to the public on August 1.

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens' Florida Black Bear Habitat features two Florida black bears, as well as an interactive and educational Bear Awareness viewing house. This exhibit is designed so that guests can enjoy watching our bears while also learning important tips to living with wild Florida black bears in our communities.

We thank you for your patience as we create a positive experience for our bears, and thank you for playing a part in helping them acclimate to their new environment.

In addition to viewing our Florida black bears, when the habitat reopens, guests will be able to learn about how to be Bear Aware.
