5. What is the definition of a Family as it applies to an annual pass?

Depending on the level of the annual pass, a family is defined as at least one named adult and up to six of their children or their grandchildren. Number of adults allowed is subject to the restrictions of each pass level. Children listed on the annual pass must be under 18.

6. Do I get any other discounts at the Zoo?

Yes, as an annual pass holder, you can bring a guest with you to the Zoo for a discounted admission of $10. Annual pass holders also enjoy 10% off any purchase over $5.00 in our Safari Outpost gift shop and discounts on special events and select education programs, including summer camps. A discount is also offered to Zoo annual pass holders at the ZOOM Air Adventure. Please contact ZOOm Air Adventure directly at 407-330-0767 for discount details.

7. Will I receive discounts for special events at the Zoo?

Your annual pass entitles you to discounted entry to special events that occur during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some special events, particularly evening events, are not included. However, annual pass holders may qualify for discounts or pre-sales depending on the event or program. Please visit our event calendar on our website for details on all Zoo events and programs; www.centralfloridazoo.org/events.

8. I’m an annual pass holder and I arrived at the Zoo at 4:16 p.m. Can I still get in?

The last paid admission to the Zoo is at 4:15 p.m. Annual pass holders may enter the Zoo after 4:15 p.m., but must exit the park by 5:00 p.m.

9. I just purchased an annual pass but I found a coupon. Can I get a credit?

Coupons must be presented at time of purchase. Discounts will not be given retroactive to a purchase. However, you can utilize coupons for a renewal if you wish to add another discounted year to your current annual pass term. Coupons cannot be combined, only one coupon can be used per annual pass.

10. Can I use my annual pass the same day I purchase it?

YES! When you purchase your annual pass online or in person, your receipt will serve as your temporary pass and will allow you entrance into the park until your permanent card(s) are mailed to you.

11. When will I receive my annual pass?

Typical processing time is 4 weeks. During October/November and March/April, processing may take 4-6 weeks because of high traffic. If you have paid for your pass, and haven’t received it yet, you can still enter the Zoo as an annual pass holder by showing your receipt that serves as your temporary pass. Please keep your receipt.  It will serve as your temporary card. Your permanent card will arrive in 2-4 weeks.

12. How many cards do I receive when I purchase an annual pass?

13. My card(s) was lost/damaged/stolen. How can I replace my card?

You may have your card(s) replaced for a $5 fee. New card(s) can be requested on your next visit or by calling 407-323-4450, ext. 100. Cards will be made available for pick-up the next business day or mailing upon payment of re-print fee.

14. I forgot to bring my annual pass card; can I still visit the Zoo for free?

As a courtesy, and to avoid extra charges to annual pass holders, we do offer a one time look-up service at our Admission Window/Guest Services. You must stop at the Admission Window/Guest Services and present your photo ID for verification. If you are unable to locate your card you may purchase an additional card for $5.00 per card.

15. Why do I have to show a photo I.D. every time I come to the Zoo?

To ensure appropriate use of annual pass benefits and privileges, we ask for a valid photo I.D. for adult(s) listed on the card. We also want to protect our pass holders should their cards be lost or stolen. Children are not required to present photo I.D. We appreciate your understanding.

16. Can my friends or family members not listed on my pass use my annual pass if I am not going?

Annual pass cards are non-transferable. Only the person(s) named on the annual pass cards may enter the Zoo using those cards. All named annual pass holders will be required to show a valid photo I.D. along with their cards in order to gain admission.

17. How does the unnamed guest work?

Some annual passes, depending on level, offer the option for a second, third, or fourth named pass holder or an unnamed guest. The benefit of the unnamed guest option provides the named pass holder(s) the benefit of bringing any guest with them each time they visit the Zoo. Unnamed guests can only enter when accompanied by a named adult pass holder(s). On any pass level, you can purchase one additional guest for $25 and choose to name them or leave them unnamed as a “guest”.

18. Can I name my child’s cousins & friends on any annual pass?

The annual pass offers benefits to pass holders based on unique households. Therefore, family or children that are not immediate relatives living within the same house at the same address cannot be included. We encourage you to have your friends & relatives become annual pass holders as well to enjoy the Zoo throughout the year.

19. How can I include my child’s cousins and friends on an annual pass?

You may add additional children for $20.00 per child.

20. I am a Grandparent, may I list my grandchildren on my pass even if they do not live with us?

Yes! Grandchildren are considered part of your immediate family. Remember, we only allow up to 6 children listed per annual pass and all children must be between the ages of 3 – 17. (Children 2 and under are free.)

21. Can I purchase more than one Zoo pass?

Absolutely! You may purchase as many Zoo passes as you wish. Each pass will be processed as a separate pass, even if the contact information is the same.

22. Can I purchase a Zoo pass as a gift?

Yes! Zoo annual passes make great gifts for birthdays, the holidays, or for any reason you would like to give. A gift Zoo pass includes a gift certificate that can be redeemed by the recipient anytime before the expiration date listed on the gift certificate. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed after the expiration date. The Zoo pass will begin the month of the redemption and will be valid for one year from that date. You may purchase gift certificates online, at the Admission Window/Guest Services , or by phone at 407-232-4450, ext. 100.

23. My spouse is coming to the Zoo with the children but is not listed on the annual pass. Can he/she use my annual pass card to get in?

If the spouse is not named, he/she is not an annual pass holder. Cards are non-transferrable and only those named on the annual pass are entitled to entry and other benefits. Please remember children and unnamed guests must be accompanied by a named adult pass holder on the annual pass card in order to receive free admission.

24. Can my nanny/babysitter bring my child to the Zoo?

In order for a nanny/babysitter to use the annual pass to bring your children, they must be a named adult pass holder. Otherwise, the nanny must pay for admission for her/himself. The children listed on the annual pass can enter the Zoo free.

25. I have a Family annual pass and my teenage child is coming to the Zoo alone. Can he/she get in without me/ can my children use the annual pass without me being present?

Children under 18 may use the pass if they are listed on the pass and can show a valid photo I.D. If your child (children) does not have an I.D. you may make arrangements in advance for them to come to the Zoo. Please call 407-323-4450 ext. 100, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to make arrangements. They must check-in at the Admission Window/Guest Services for admittance. Please remember all children must be 13 years or older to visit the Zoo without an adult present.

26. My children are coming on a field trip can I use my pass?

The annual pass can be used to replace the cost for a child and/or adult attending as part of an organized field trip for a general Zoo visit; however, if an education program such as an animal encounter presentation, tour or curriculum program is included, annual passes cannot be used. These field trips are booked through the Education Department and group admissions must be fully accounted for. If your child is participating in a general Zoo visit, please send a copy of your pass for Admissions. If a parent is attending the Zoo on the same day as their child’s field trip, they must have permission from the group organizer to join the group. If the parent is not included as a paid chaperone, they will not be allowed to participate in educational field trip activities. Additional fees apply, and should be handled in advance by contacting the field trip organizer or teacher.

27. My child is about to turn 18. Can I list this child on the pass?

Children are counted from age 3 through 17 for annual passes. At 18, children are no longer allowed to be listed on an annual pass. To continue coverage of your 18+ child, you may add him/her as one additional adult for $25.

28. I have already purchased my annual pass; can I switch out a named or unnamed person for another individual?

You may make changes to named adults or unnamed guests listed during the year. Changes will cost $5.00 per change as the re-issuance of the annual pass card is required. On your next visit your current pass card(s) must be exchanged for your new pass card(s). Current card must be turned in before new card is issued. You may also add one additional adult to your annual pass card for $25 at any time throughout your term.

29. I have not used my annual pass in a few months. Can I get an extension for the time I didn’t use it?

While we wish all our annual pass holders visited the Zoo frequently, we cannot assign credit for those who have not used their annual passes. Even if you have lost or have not yet received your cards, you are always able to visit the Zoo by using your temporary card receipt or can have you card replaced for $5.00.

30. I am going out of town; can I freeze my account?

Unfortunately, our system is unable to place temporary freezes or holds on accounts.

31. Is there a newsletter for annual pass holders?

Yes. We send monthly digital newsletters by email and a printed ZOOviews newsletter periodically throughout the year to the address on the pass holder’s account. If you have not received either of these, please contact Pass Holder Services at 407-323-4450 ext. 100.

32. Do Zoo annual pass holders receive discounted admission to other zoos and aquariums in the U.S.?

Yes, you will receive discounted admission at over 150 zoos and aquariums nationwide. For a full listing please see our reciprocal list. Please call the visiting attraction ahead of traveling to ensure that benefits are still active.

33. I don’t want to purchase an annual pass, but would like to purchase day tickets to the Zoo. Can I purchase online?

The option to purchase one day admit-one-tickets is not available on-line at this time. Tickets are available for purchase at the Admission Window/Guest Services upon arrival to the Zoo, open 9-4:15 daily (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days).

You may purchase tickets over-the-phone. However, we are a small, not-for-profit Zoo and our outgoing mail is brought to our local post office a few times per week, so we are unable to guarantee the delivery of your tickets via mail by a specific date. If you would like to purchase via that option, please call 407-323-4450 ext. 100 Monday – Friday, 8-5 and we will be happy to assist you.
