Letter to our Patrons

You may have seen recent media coverage regarding our relationship with the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Please know that we were more than surprised to receive a letter from the college declaring concerns about the well-being of our animals. This was the first notification we received from UF of any concerns about our operations, which was even more surprising since we have enjoyed a partnership with the college for more than 20 years. As supporters of the Central Florida Zoo, please be assured that the health and well-being of our animals has always been our priority and we remain fully accredited by both the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the USDA. We ask for your patience as we address this issue. We look forward to discussing this issue further with UF on September 11, and we hope to provide an update to you soon.
