NEWS 13 Children's Garden Volunteer

Do you love children? Are you looking for a fun and happy place to share your time? The new NEWS 13 Children's Garden is a great place to spend time helping children and families explore nature. Located in the center of the Zoo, this beautiful area includes a dig site with shovels, pails, bones, and more for digging and creating, a water table offers opportunities for exploring water life and sea shells, stumps and logs offer story time opportunities and exciting obstacles to climb.
Available Days: Monday - Sunday
Start/End Hours: 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. / 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Duties: Setting up activities in the NEWS 13 Children's Garden for children and families to enjoy. Organizing crafts, stories and activities. Interacting with Zoo visitors and encouraging learning and exploring opportunities for guests. Morning volunteers will set up the activities in the garden and afternoon volunteers will put them away at the end of the day.
Requirements: Must be 18 years or older.
Must commit to one shift per week for six months.
Great ability to interact with children and adults! Must be able to tolerate outside temperatures.
