Explore the Zoo on a guided tour, led by our expert teachers. Choose from one of our safaris that transports students to faraway lands as they learn about our planet’s at-risk creatures.
Throughout our world, many species face the threat of extinction, with animal populations becoming endangered due to a variety of causes. On our Endangered Species tour, students will get the chance to learn more about the endangered and threatened animals living at our Zoo and what measures are being taken to protect their natural habitats and help rebuild the species through conservation projects. Your group will also learn what it means when an animal is on a Species Survival Plan, and about Florida’s Species of Special Concern, many of which we can find really close to home.
