‘I 🖤 Indigo Day’ at the Zoo

It’s time for a knee-slapping, toe-tapping, finger-licking and snake-saving good time!

Help us celebrate I 🖤 Indigo Day at the 3^rd Annual Indigo Bluegrass BBQ taking place on Saturday, February 10^th from 9AM-4PM. This special day at the Zoo will focus on our ongoing conservation efforts of the Eastern indigo snake at the Zoo’s Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation (OCIC) and highlight the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Saving Animals From Extinction (SAFE) programs.

Slither your way over to the Zoo for a family-friendly day of live bluegrass music from Sandy Back Porch, great BBQ available for purchase, conservation education and other fun activities like guest presentations from the OCIC, extra keeper chats, a charity raffle and presentation of native reptiles during our Amazing Reptiles show.

*$2 from each ticket sold will benefit the conservation efforts at OCIC.

  • Members: This day is included in your annual membership. Suggested donation of $2 to benefit conservation efforts at OCIC, payable at the ticket booth onsite.
  • Nonmembers: $24.95 for adults, $19.95 for seniors, $20.95 for kids ages 3-12, and 2 & under are free
