We’re welcoming everyone to bring a plant for our third annual plant swap! The Zoo’s horticulture experts will be available throughout the day, along with experts from Orlando Permaculture.
This event will be held rain or shine at the Zoo’s Rainforest Pavilion from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
After checking in, you’re welcome to set up a table with your swap items and/or view others’ tables. Please label all the plants you bring. Participants are responsible for negotiating their own swaps individually. It is up to you to determine the value of your items and trade with other participants accordingly. Plants, cuttings, seeds, gardening tools, and miscellaneous garden-related items are welcome. Only non-invasive plants will be accepted. A complete list of invasive species by the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council can be found here.
Educational Sessions:
10 AM – Cuttings & Propagation by Orlando Permaculture
1 PM – Permaculture Applications at the Zoo by Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens Horticulture Team
Admission to the Zoo is separate and not required to attend the Plant Swap at the Rainforest Pavilion.
Each adult participant (at least 18 years of age) of the plant swap will receive one single-day Zoo admission ticket valid through December 31, 2019.
