Homeschool families can experience a wide variety of interactive programs at the Zoo, where the classroom comes to life! Up-close animal encounters, games, crafts, and activities are all part of this exciting learning environment. Choose from a variety of homeschool ZOOventure family workshops for children of all ages and adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

November 20, 2024: X-treme Reptiles
Class Reptilia – Crocodilians, lizards, snakes, turtles, tuatara…tuatara? This extreme adventure will take students into the radical realm of reptiles to learn how cool these cold blooded creatures really are!
February 19, 2025: Born in the Wild
Discover animal families large and small! From eggs to alligators, tadpoles to bullfrogs, learn about growing up wild in this fascinating look at baby animals and their parents.
April 16, 2025: Bear Tracks
It’s all about bears in this exciting look at bears found around the world, including the Florida black bear! Discover amazing facts about where they live, what they eat, and how we can help keep them safe in the forests.
For the health and safety of our animals, you and your child(ren) will be required to bring a mask to the education program and may be asked to wear it during the animal encounter or when going behind the scenes.
Registration is required at least one week in advance. Program size is limited. Programs are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of participants is not met one week before the program date. Refunds will not be provided for self-initiated cancellation once registration and payment have been processed. An adult must accompany children.
