Fall events in Central Florida

Fall is here, and as the temperatures begin to cool (slightly) in Central Florida, there are so many opportunities for fun! Even though the leaves aren’t turning here, you can still celebrate the change of season with fall events in Central Florida. Here are five things to do in Orlando this fall.

Zoo Boo Bash, presented by Orlando Health

Show off your costume and enjoy this not-so-scary Halloween event! Zoo Boo Bash, presented by Orlando Health, is a fan-favorite offering at our Orlando Zoo with three weekends of family-friendly fun. Trick-or-treat while enjoying other activities around the Zoo, including checking out your favorite animals. Zoo Boo Bash is included with Zoo admission. Visit a farmers’ market

Visiting a farmers’ market is the perfect fall activity. Enjoy seasonal fall fruits and vegetables and even try new foods, all while you support local farmers and vendors. Pick from produce, jewelry and other unique items that you can only find at these markets. There are farmers’ markets all over Central Florida. For a short list of nearby markets, check here.

Find a pumpkin patch

Going to a pumpkin patch is a classic fall event in Central Florida. With Halloween right around the corner, picking out a pumpkin is a great way to get into the spirit. Find a local farm or pumpkin patch near you to take fall pictures and pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home. Some local favorites include Amber Brooke Farms, Southern Hill Farms, and A Lot of Pumpkins.

Check out a haunted house

This fall activity is for the brave! Visit one of the many haunted houses in Central Florida if you dare. Some chilling attractions that are sure to give you a scare include Scream-A-Geddon and Mortem Manor. The Orlando attractions also get into the spooky spirit with Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream.

Get outdoors and visit local parks and gardens

If you’re not into getting spooked, there are some great outdoor activities in Orlando. Visiting a park or local garden is one of the best ways to get out and experience the cooler Central Florida evenings. Enjoy the sunset at Lake Eola or stroll through Leu Gardens and marvel at the warm colored marigolds and other seasonal flowers.

Fall is a great time to be outdoors in Central Florida, so don’t wait to get out there and take advantage of all these great fall events! We certainly hope to see you at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens this season.
