Fall is here, and as the temperatures begin to cool (slightly) in Central Florida, there are so many opportunities for fun! Even though the leaves aren’t turning here, you can still celebrate the change of season with fall events in Central Florida. Here are five things to do in Orlando this fall.
Show off your costume and enjoy this not-so-scary Halloween event! Zoo Boo Bash, presented by Orlando Health, is a fan-favorite offering at our Orlando Zoo with three weekends of family-friendly fun. Visiting a farmers’ market is the perfect fall activity. Enjoy seasonal fall fruits and vegetables and even try new foods, all while you support local farmers and vendors. Going to a pumpkin patch is a classic fall event in Central Florida. With Halloween right around the corner, picking out a pumpkin is a great way to get into the spirit. Find a local farm or pumpkin patch near you to take fall pictures and pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home. Some local favorites include Amber Brooke Farms, Southern Hill Farms, and A Lot of Pumpkins.
This fall activity is for the brave! Visit one of the many haunted houses in Central Florida if you dare. Some chilling attractions that are sure to give you a scare include Scream-A-Geddon and Mortem Manor. The Orlando attractions also get into the spooky spirit with Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream.
If you’re not into getting spooked, there are some great outdoor activities in Orlando. Visiting a park or local garden is one of the best ways to get out and experience the cooler Central Florida evenings. Enjoy the sunset at Lake Eola or stroll through Leu Gardens and marvel at the warm colored marigolds and other seasonal flowers.
