Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens announces free admission for kids in September

SANFORD, Fla. (September 5, 2023) — Parents, grandparents and family members in Central Florida can let the kids go WILD this September…at a price they’ll be wild about.

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is offering FREE admission for kids 12 and younger from Sept. 5-22.

The offer is available for daytime general admission tickets. One children’s ticket is available for free with the purchase of one adult ticket. The offer cannot be combined with any other deal or discount and is not applicable to group rates.

Tickets must be purchased in person at the Zoo and are not available online.

“We love our community, and we had a summer of fun,” Richard E. Glover, Jr., the Zoo’s CEO, said. “This is our way of saying ‘thank you.’ We also wanted to be sure everyone had the chance to see what’s new at the Zoo.”

New exhibits at the Zoo include an addition to the Zoo’s troop of Mexican spider monkeys, a pair of blue duikers (a type of antelope that is only about 14 inches tall at the shoulder) and a selection of venomous snakes added to the Zoo’s herpetarium.

In addition, the Zoo features more than 100 species, as well as lush botanical gardens, a splash pad and more.
